What we do
Silk Pyjamas Company sells silk and satin sleepwear and bedding. Our range covers mulberry silk and satin pillowcases in eleven colours, complete silk and satin sheet sets, silk pyjamas and loungewear for women and men, and silk accessories such as eye masks, bonnets and baby mittens.
We sell two things and we keep them clearly apart. The mulberry silk range is 100% silk, with the momme weight printed on every product page. The satin range is a weave rather than a fibre, usually polyester, at a fraction of the price, and every satin page says so on the page rather than in the small print.
Why silk
Silk moves moisture rather than holding it against you, and it sits close to your own body temperature instead of trapping heat, which is why the same set works in July and in January. It is also smoother than cotton, so it catches less on skin and hair.
That is the whole of it. We make no anti-ageing, medical or hypoallergenic claims for anything we sell, and where a supplier has not published a fibre content, a momme weight or a size chart, the product page says so rather than printing a plausible number. The previous version of this page claimed silk reduces facial wrinkles and prevents hair breakage. It does not, and those lines are gone.

Who runs this store?

Where are you based?
Our UK administration office is in Birmingham and the company is registered in Thailand. Both addresses are on this page. We sell online only and ship across the UK.
Is everything you sell real silk?
No, and that is the first thing worth knowing. The mulberry silk range is 100% silk. The satin range is a weave, usually polyester, at a much lower price. Every product page states which it is.
Why do you sell satin at all?
Because not everyone wants to spend £189 on a sheet. Satin gives you the smooth surface and the sheen for a fraction of the money. What it will not do is handle heat the way silk does, and we say that on the satin pages rather than hiding it.
Why do you print the momme weight?
Because it is the most useful number on a silk product page and most shops leave it off. Ours run 16 momme on the men's silk pyjama set, 19 on the boxer shorts and dressing gowns, and 22 on the pillowcases.
Do you make the products yourselves?
No. We buy from suppliers and sell direct, which is where a good part of the price difference comes from. Where a supplier grades the silk we print the grade and say plainly that it is a supplier grading, not an independent certificate.
Is your silk certified?
We hold no OEKO-TEX or equivalent certification, so we do not claim one.
Do you make health claims about silk?
No. Silk is smoother than cotton so it catches less on skin and hair, and it handles moisture and temperature better than a synthetic. That is a real and modest difference and it is as far as we will go. There is no anti-ageing, hypoallergenic or medical claim anywhere on this site.
What happened to the claims that used to be on this page?
They were removed in August 2026. This page previously said silk reduces facial wrinkles and prevents hair breakage, and the homepage said silk pillowcases could make you ten years younger. None of that is supportable, so none of it is here.
How much is delivery?
Free on orders of £75 or more, and a flat £25 below that, anywhere we ship in the UK.
How long does delivery take?
Allow 5 to 7 days once your order is on its way, after 24 to 48 hours of handling. You get a tracking link by email as soon as it is collected.
Might my order arrive in more than one parcel?
Yes. A few lines ship from a separate supplier and those product pages say so.
What is your returns position?
UK consumers normally have 14 days from delivery to notify us of cancellation, then a further 14 days to return the goods. Exceptions can apply to personalised goods. Faulty goods are covered separately. See our Refunds and Returns policy for details.
How do I pay?
Card through Stripe, or PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. We sell online only.
Can I buy in bulk?
Yes. The wholesale page sets out what we can and cannot commit to, and it is worth contacting us directly with quantities.
Do you offer personalisation?
Yes, embroidery and monogramming priced on the personalisation product page and added to the same order. Personalised pieces cannot be returned under the change-of-mind right.
